Manor Adventure is a busy Outdoor Education Centre in Shropshire catering for over 300 children and over 70 instructors and teachers each day. We provide a friendly working environment and need people who enjoy working as part of a team. Our Catering Manager needs another Chef to join the team for the 2009 season.
The position involves:
- Working six days a week on a shift rota (no split shifts) you will join the team assisting the Catering Manager to provide three hot meals a day for the guests.
- Preparation and cooking of set menu dishes in order to keep the servery stocked during mealtimes.
- Phoning orders through to suppliers.
- Deputising for the catering manager and supervising the team of catering assistants in the manager’s absence.
Some experience of catering for large numbers is required. NVQ level 2 or an equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential. Training will be provided. You must be available to start work by mid January 2009.
The successful applicant will receive a salary £11,500 - £13,500 per annum depending on skills and experience.
Accommodation and food provided free of charge on completion of three months probation.
