The Company:
Established in 1991 we operate Manor Adventure in Shropshire and in Mid Wales also Le Chateau du Broutel in northern France.
We currently handle 10,000 students at our Shropshire centre, 6,000 at our new centre in Wales and 10,000 at our French Chateau.
Brief Job Description:
1. To generate new business for Manor Adventure (England and Wales) and at Le Chateau du Broutel by visiting schools who currently do not come to our centres (existing clients will be handled by our office). There are 25,000 Primary and Middle Schools, and 5,250 Secondary Schools in the UK. Currently 1,000 out of 30,000 schools (around 3%) will visit our centres each year. We are looking to increase this client basis by employing a sales representative in the South of England.
2. The new Sales representative will visit schools in term time (36 weeks per annum). A telesales department will make appointments on their behalf and for the remainder of the day the sales representative will cold call schools.
3. To provide any necessary back up to existing and new customers as required (e.g. Evening Presentations, Pre-view visits to the Centres, Exhibitions, Inspection Visits, etc)
Remuneration:
The basic salary will be £14,000pa, plus commission at £2.50 per bed-night on new bookings. An average booking is 40 students for 4 nights (Monday-Friday) i.e. 160 bed-nights. So an average booking would be worth £400 in commission. We would expect at least one Manor Adventure booking and one Chateau booking per month (£9,600pa). The company would also provide a company car plus relevant expenses; a mobile phone (for business use), GPS and a laptop computer.
Our current sales representatives are earning between £28,000pa and £37,000pa
All outstanding bookings confirming after leaving the company would be honoured at £1.25 per bednight.
