Activities include: hill walking, climbing and water sports and we want you to extend it further. As one of the more experienced members of the team, you will assist in supervising and developing junior staff, and take responsibility for the equipment and course programming.
With a passion for the outdoors and proven relevant work experience, you will ideally have three qualifications in the following areas and a desire to gain more:
- Mountain / BASP First Aid Certificate

- Level 3 Sea / Surf Coach
- Level 3 Inland Kayak Coach
- Level 3 Canoe Coach
- Youth work or outdoor education qualifications
You will also have a full clean driving licence, ideally with D1 + E enabling you to drive minibuses with a trailer. Your ability to inspire and relate to our challenging client group, along with your awareness of issues affecting young people, is key.
Fairbridge is an organisation committed not only to the personal development of young people but also its staff. Extensive training and development opportunities are available.
In return, we offer a fun and supportive work environment as well as development opportunities including an entitlement to a minimal of 15 professional development training days each year. Working only Monday- Friday, you will also receive 28 days' holiday (plus bank holidays) rising to 32 days with length of service and employer pension contributions, cycle to work scheme, independent & confidential advisory & information service and other benefits. This is a great opportunity to develop your career in the outdoor development sector and gain the security of a permanent job in a well respected charity.
