So Who Are We?
The Kingswood Group is one of the UK’s leading school programme and youth holiday providers specialising in leading-edge ICT, Lifeskills, Environmental Field Studies & Adventure Activity residential courses. Our nine activity centres across the UK and one in Northern France are visited by over 2000 schools annually from the UK and across Europe, almost 130,000 children every year. We are proud to provide the most educationally relevant & cross-curricular range of residential programmes.
So What Is Kingswood All About?
We're all about inspiring children to learn through having fun, we call it "learning in action". Working for Kingswood you will feel what it is like to make the difference in a child's life when they maybe don't even recognise it - when a child is having so much fun they don't realise they're learning control technology in the ICT lab, or that they've just perfectly demonstrated team leadership, team-working and negotiation when they led their group in the problem solving exercise. Or maybe they tested their stamina and coordination, increased their self-confidence and gained the respect of their classmates because they made it to the top of the climbing wall first. No experience is necessary, just a passion for inspiring children to learn in the outdoors.
Safe & Secure
Safety is a priority, so every Kingswood Centre and activity is risk assessed and our sites are independently inspected, checked and maintained by the British Activity Holiday Association (BAHA) and also by Local Authority Environmental Health Officers.
Our Activity Instructors
Our skilled Instructor team play a large part in this philosophy, supporting and encouraging young people to make personal achievements that, for many, will reach beyond their wildest dreams, sending their confidence soaring into orbit. All staff are vetted, inducted and trained to the highest levels. All first year instructors will be enrolled onto our Kingswood Modern Apprenticeship training programme, also gaining a whole host of National Governing Body qualifications, which will ensure that you are provided with all of the skills and background knowledge needed to become one of our best instructors.
The Kingswood Lifestyle
Life on centre is unlike anything else you will experience. It's a million miles away from a 9 to 5 job and requires boundless energy, commitment and dedication but can be immensely rewarding. You will meet like-minded people from all backgrounds and many walks of life and make friends for life. You will learn new skills and abilities, build your confidence and discover a great deal about yourself - fantastic grounding that will prepare you for a career progressing with us, within the industry or whatever path you later choose to take. Our staff work hard and play hard, there is a strong social element and a "family" environment. During our busy periods, everyone works around the clock and during quieter holiday periods there is the opportunity to catch up sleep, holidays, family and that all important training.
Centre Facilities
Our Centres boast fantastic, year-round, all-weather facilities. Pupils sleep in warm purpose-built dormitory-style accommodation, with teacher rooms adjacent. Guests receive 3 hot meals per day in our diners, with balanced nutritional meal plans, recently updated to meet and exceed the latest Government standards on children's meals.
