Acorn Adventure Adventure Jobs

Working for Acorn Adventure

Acorn Adventure believe in REAL ADVENTURE. We are a leading provider for residential adventure holidays for children and family holidays across our seven centres in the UK and Europe. The best outdoor education experience is all about location, location, location and if it’s a real adventure trip you want, look no further than Acorn Adventure. Our highly qualified and experienced instructors are selected so we can offer the best and most adventurous outdoor activities, from pico-sailing and white water rafting to rock climbing and caving. We are widely known for delivering some of the best activity programmes available to schools and youth groups, at affordable prices.

Why are Acorn Adventure so good to work for?

Our staff get to make the most of the amazing locations of our centres, this may be: leading a group down the Ardèche river in Southern France; hiking through the Italian Alps or windsurfing on a Spanish Beach. We are a family business and as such our centres run like a family, with everybody living and working on our centre together. All of our food is made on site, our administrators run the finances and our assistants help with the running of our centres. At Acorn Adventure we do not just recruit activity staff; we have a range of positions for those looking for work in an outdoor environment from our catering teams, bar staff and drivers. We give all staff the opportunity to complete pre and post-season training to gain NGB qualifications in different activities, on top of the standard comprehensive induction & training programme we provide. At Acorn we value our staff and get to know you all by name. Our Head Office team are involved with the running of the centre every step of the way; you'll get to know us by name too, and will see us coming to visit all of our centres across the season. We believe a business is run from the top down, so expect to see us serving our guests food, cleaning the toilets and interacting with the children. We won’t ask you to do anything that we wouldn’t do ourselves.

Our Courses:
Our residential courses for schools & colleges offer far more than adventure holidays and our instructors are key to the success. They are men and women who want to share their passion and enthusiasm for people, the outdoors and learning. We have over 65 years' experience of partnering schools and colleges in delivering the outdoor and residential elements of the national curriculum, with unparalleled levels of safety. We support key educational initiatives such as Schools of Ambition, Extended Schools and Every Child Matters. We cover subjects as diverse as the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, citizenship and key skills. We also give our participants something they cannot learn in a classroom - greater respect for themselves and their own abilities.
