Training and Working for UKSA
UK Sailing Academy (UKSA) is a national maritime youth charity, based in Cowes, on the Isle of Wight, with a vision to widen access to maritime training, to enhance life skills and employment in the sector. We are the largest RYA training centre in the world, providing schools and groups activity programmes, full-time education courses and professional career training in yachting and watersports. We will have a course to suit you, whether you are an entry-level novice or a professional looking to top up your training and qualifications.
Why are UKSA great at Watersports Training?
People should train with us for several reasons. As a maritime youth charity, providing opportunities for young people is at the core of everything we do. We often have funding opportunities available. Our courses lead people towards careers in the watersports industry, the maritime/yachting industry and in particular the growing (and lucrative) superyacht sector.

UKSA offer training and experiences in watersports and sailing. If you're looking for the ultimate gap year experience, not going to Uni or want a career in yachting or teaching watersports, UKSA offer flexible course options enabling you to work anywhere around the world.
If you are looking for a career in watersport, UKSA's ten week instructor course will train you in 3 popular watersports activities (Stand up paddleboarding, Windsurfing and Dinghy Sailing), enabling you to gain the skills, experience and qualifications required to work as a multi disciplined watersports instructor.
Alternatively if you are looking for a career in yachting, UKSA's 13 week and 23 week course options will give you the tidal miles, qualifications and experience required.
We are also in the unique position to offer personal mentoring, industry guidance, food and accommodation throughout your studies.
