A Typical Day on this Course
If you have finished your GCSE's and want to work in the watersports industry, our one year Watersports Instructor Traineeship programme could be what you are looking for. The course will train you to become a multi discipline watersports instructor with a number of weeks dedicated to work experience. These weeks will enable you to develop, display and relate skills learned on the programme within a professional environment.
Who are we looking for?
* 16-19 years old
* Students who do not have 9-4 GCSE's grades in English or Maths will be required to complete functional skills in English and Maths during the course
* An interest or experience in watersports or outdoor education with the desire to become an outdoor education instructor
* Successful selection day at UKSA
What we can offer you
This course is fully-funded as part of a full-time 16-19 year-old further education (FE) programme.
We have a fantastic fleet, a waterfront campus, inspirational instructors and great facilities. While on site you can take advantage of our indoor heated swimming pool and study areas.
Upon completion, successful learners will be a fully qualified Dinghy, Windsurf, Stand-Up Paddleboard Instructor and gain their 2* Kayak and FSRT training. These qualifications, plus UKSA's careers and employment advice, will prepare students to take their first steps into employment within the UK.
