typical day A Typical Day in the Job

Our Rockley centres in France are based on the beautiful South West coast - with the Atlantic only a stones throw away what better way to spend your summer, working in the sunshine and enjoying the beautiful beaches and surf towns nearby!

In France daily duties are allocated on a rota basis and include (but are not limited to):

- Clearing and preparing tent accommodation prior to client arrivals

- 1 week in 3 (general rule) rota'd onto Night Duty where they will work evening shifts 10pm - 7am

- Driving duties as and when required on centre

- Wake up wash up duty - assist in waking the residential school group clients at 0755, oversee the washing up of breakfast, lunch and dinner crockery, glasses and cutlery

- General care and welfare duties such as running or assisting activity instructors with evening entertainments, assisting with beach games and swimming pool sessions

- Assisting in the kitchen when necessary

- Cleaning and maintaining the site

- Assisting with off-site trips/excursions - eg Aqualand, Dune de Pyla, Mimizan and Biscarrosse Plage

Our UK centres are based in the picturesque Poole Harbour surrounded by the amazing Dorset countryside. With plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants nearby as well as the opportunity to windsurf, kitesurf and surf right on your doorstep it is the ideal place to work and live for the summer.

In the UK your main roles and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

- Assisting with welcoming clients to our residential lodge

- Pastoral care and immediate point of contact for customers

- Assisting the lodge chef or senior residential assistant with the production of meals including making up packed lunches and sandwiches on a daily basis

- Serving evening meals

- Assisting in our Beach Club Café

- Coordinating evening activities for our residential students, alongside our Activity Team

- Cleaning of the residential building

- Supporting the centre e.g covering reception, signing in / out of clients

- On duty staff member overnight (on a rota basis)




ideal candidate Who are we looking for?

A current DBS certificate
You should be responsible, fun, organised and professional with experience of working with children and young people
You should have good customer service and communication skills
An outgoing, hardworking and flexible attitude

A full UK driving licence is preferable but not essential
