A Typical Day on this Course
Every day will be different, fun and exciting on this course. We will urge you to push yourself out of your comfort zone and we will be working hard to give you the skills and guidance to enable you to get the job you are aiming for. This training course will give you everything the best outdoor centres look for when they are considering someone for a new instructor position and we can be sure of this because we do the same when endeavouring to employ only the very best at our own centre!
Whilst on the instructor training course, most weekends and many evenings are allocated as your free time and we would urge you to maximise all the opportunities while you are with us in Cornwall. Many participants do this by going off adventuring, both in the local area and further afield often using these new locations to practice and improve their skills in the sports.
Who are we looking for?
There are no pre-requisites for the course. All we ask for is motivated individuals who are wishing to progress within the Outdoor Industry. Don’t forget that these fast-track courses can be both physically and mentally demanding and you will need fitness and determination.
What we can offer you
Whilst on your instructor course you will be learning about all the different job pathways available within the Outdoor industry. Outdoor Adventure is regarded as one of the leading Outdoor Activity Centres in the UK and known best for its consistent commitment to quality – this means instructors passing through our training courses are expected to be of a high standard and therefore have a head start when applying for jobs.
As an activity centre, we also employ some course participants from the previous instructor training course to work with us for the coming season. This can be a fantastic opportunity to put all your new coaching skills and qualifications into practice at a centre you are already familiar with where you know you will be supported, challenged and encouraged to progress in your new career as an outdoor professional.
