No 2 days the same!

Broadstone Warren works with Scouts, Guides, Schools, Youth Groups and Church Groups. Every group receives a tailor-made programme of activities to meet their specific requirements. This means that each week is different, with a different schedule of outdoor activities and fun experiences.

You will be responsible for delivering activities to small groups of participants throughout the day, making sure that they are safe, supported, whilst providing a challenge that will be both fun and rewarding.

You will be responsible for setting up and leading the activities. Activities are varied and include climbing, abseiling, high ropes, rifle shooting, archery, tomahawk throwing and zip-lining,

Other duties include some cleaning and maintenance

ideal candidate Who are we looking for?

Hold at least: A recognised climbing and abseiling award (GG level 1 in climbing and abseiling, ERCA traditional high ropes instructor, SPA, CWA with abseil element.

National Governing Body Qualification from the following Archery UK Instructor, NSRA YPS Diploma,

Understanding of The Scout Association

Undergo an enhanced DBS check


Over 18 years of age

At least 1 years experience working in Outdoor Education


Good communication skills both orally and in writing

Ability to deliver training and activities to our broad range of customers

Clearly demonstrate an ability to provide first-class customer service

Ability to manage personal performance

Desire to develop own skill sets

Ability to undertake maintenance/cleaning tasks as required

our offer What we can offer you

Accommodation: Subsidised Single room accommodation is available with shared facilities (TV License, Gas, Water Electric, wifi, laundry).
Uniform: Staff uniform is provided.
Hours of Work: 18 core hours per week minimum. (normal week 37.5hrs)
Payment of Remuneration: Salaries are paid monthly in arrears.
Probationary Period: The post is subject to a 4-week probationary period.
Pension: In line with statutory requirements
Sickness: In line with statutory requirements
Maternity/Paternity Rights: In line with statutory requirements
Holiday: 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro-rata) including Bank holidays although these will sometimes be required to be worked.
