a typical day
We offer a wide variety of groups and have a huge range of onsite activities, so no two days are likely to be the same.
Working with a great team, you will support us in providing incredible memories to individuals of all ages, but primarily young people, as they experience Outdoor Adventure, often for the first time.

Who are we looking for?

The person we are looking for:
Knowledge
Extensive knowledge of best practice in outdoor learning and adventure
Experience of working at an outdoor centre
Understanding of centre held external accreditations and experience of supporting inspections
Experience of line management or mentoring staff
Experience of managing projects
Experience of delivering quality customer service
Understanding of budget management
Sound knowledge of outdoor activity health and safety
Skills and Abilities
Ability to support customer relationships to achieve positive outcomes
Organised with the ability to plan and prioritise, can multi-task and work under pressure
ability to meet deadlines
Ability to lead, work on own initiative and as part of a team
Proactive with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
Excellent attention to detail and completion, ensuring quality and consistency is
always maintained
Flexibility in approach to work and willingness to learn
Able to think creatively and solve problems
A mature and personable approach
Good communication and facilitation skills including a knowledgeable understanding of soft skills, reviewing and an ability to communicate with a variety of audiences.
Good understanding of relevant ICT software packages.
Hold or are actively working towards a minimum of 3 relevant NGB outdoor activity qualifications for example:
o BC Core Coach
o ERCA Traditional High Ropes Instructor
o CWI or CWIA or RCI Holder
o A recognised walking/navigation qualification
o A recognised mountain bike qualification
o Archery GB Instructor Award
o A recognised bushcraft / environmental qualification
