Our coastline is second to none for incredible views and creating long lasting memories. We are the only company commercially permitted to use the site for guided kayaking and coasteering tours. We also have use of many permissive bridleways for mountain biking and hiking that are not open to all visitors.


Seasonal Outdoor Activities Instructor

typical day A Typical Day in the Job

Contract type: seasonal, 39hrs/week (including weekends and public holidays)

A typical day may start by filling out the activity board with the day's weather/group details.

A morning activity normally starts at 9:30 and is finished by 12:30 when the kit is cleaned and stored.

Lunch

The afternoon is another activity from 13:30 to 16:30 followed by general clear-up and debrief of the day, prepare for the following day.

However, no two days are the same with Lulworth Outdoors and may also include beach cleaning, visitor engagement, helping with events, first aid cover etc.


ideal candidate Who are we looking for?

Essential Requirements
• SPA/RCI assessed
• Coasteering guide competency award (or equivalent)*
• UKCC Level One Coach
• A good amount of experience working with young people and/or vulnerable adults in an outdoor activity setting
• Use of your own initiative and a flexible approach

Desirable Requirements
• 16 hr first aid*
• British Canoeing Sea Kayak Leader
• Mountain bike leader (MIAS Level 2 or equivalent)*
• Archery GB Leader
• Bushcraft experience
• Geographical knowledge of the local area*
• Keen interest in the local flora and fauna
• Knowledge of the local geology*
* Some training may be available
