typical day A Typical Day in the Job

You'll start your day with a morning meeting with your senior guide, ensuring the weather forecast and tides are aligned to your activities locations. In this case, you've got a morning coasteering session!

Once your location for the coasteer has been agreed upon you'll meet your customers and talk them through what to expect, gauging their ability to ensure your plan is appropriate. Your group size will be small with a 1:8 guide to customer ratio. We like to ensure the session is intimate and you have enough time with each customer to build on their confidence and make sure they get the most out of their coasteering adventure. Your morning session will run for 3.5 hours from start to finish.

Walking to your activity gives you a great opportunity to build on your relationship with the customer, we aim to fill their heads with knowledge about the local flora and fauna as well as history that surrounds the magnificent St. Davids coast.

Your coasteering session will start with a descent from the coast path, at this point, we like to spend time with our customers asking them to be present in nature and connect to the landscape that they're about to jump right into. We will train you on all of this through our Nature and Ocean Connection sessions.

On return from your session, you'll rinse off the kit and say goodbye to your customers, breaking for an hour lunch. Your afternoon session could be a repeat of the above, or depending on your qualifications it could include a surf, kayak, climb or SUP session.
