We invest our profits back into the training of our instructors, and into the equipment and facilities at each of our six centres.

Activity Manager Shropshire: a typical day
Culmington Manor offers exceptional facilities within a 100 acre estate in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the South Shropshire countryside. Our superb estate is located close to the Welsh borders and nine miles from the historical town of Ludlow. The grounds consist of woodlands, fields, and gardens inhabited by an abundance of wildlife.
Hidden away in the Corvedale Valley, our estate provides a safe and secure environment for schools to enjoy outdoor pursuits. The centre operates within a very compact central area with the majority of activities taking place within 15 acres surrounded by the various accommodation options.
The Role:
As an Activities Manager you are responsible for ensuring that the company provides an amazing introduction to outdoor pursuits to all out visitors within a safe environment, help develop instructors during training to be the very best they can be, and to deliver sessions with confidence to our visitors Key activities the successful person will undertake include ensuring the efficient running of the Operations Department, ensuring the highest standards of safety at all times and also developing the activity programme alongside the Head of Centre whilst taking responsibility for its implementation.

- Experience within a similar role OR suitably experienced and ready to step up to the next level
- A range of outdoor activity qualifications
- Strong instructional techniques
- Leadership abilities
- A calm, flexible, consistent approach to the multitude of different situations encountered at a busy centre.
- The ability to become an important part of a warm and friendly team
Qualifications/experience required:
- Previous management experience
- British Canoeing (Paddlesport UK) Level 2 Coach/Core Coach or equivalent
- High Ropes course experience
- Other awards would be beneficial such as Rifles (NSRA), Archery (Archery GB), Fencing (British Fencing, CWI
