The job description
Senior Outdoor Activity Instructor: a typical day
This role will largely be supporting our Outdoor Activity Manager to run our activity team smoothly. From delivering activities to assisting with rotas, our Senior Activity Manager will ensure our activity provision runs smoothly. Duties include:
Deliver a high-quality and enjoyable learning experience to visiting groups, ensuring that agreed service standards and outcomes are met.
Contribute to the continuing development of the activities delivered both on and offsite (currently most activities are onsite).
Participate in internal staff development and the continuous improvement programme within the Centre.
Use relevant IT information systems, maintain confidentiality and observe data protection guidelines.
Assist with the maintenance and construction of activity equipment.

The ideal candidate will have experience delivering outdoor activity sessions and some experience leading a team.
On the job training is provided, but one or more of the following qualifications is highly desirable:
• Rock Climbing Instructor (RCI)
• Ropes course instructor
• Ropes course inspection qualifications
• Archery
• Walking leader qualification
• Experience in:
• Team problem solving activities
• Bushcraft
