the requirements for this course
Being a Sailing Instructor
Working with kids requires energy, confidence and effort; but we guarantee it’s never, ever boring. You’ll enjoy overseeing our diverse range of fun water sports either on the sea or local lakes; from sailing, dragon boats, kayaking, canoes & SUP. You’ll be delivering fun & educational sessions to children and families whilst maintaining high levels of safety including our equipment.
You won’t always be on water; you could also be running land-based activity sessions, lighting campfires, building shelters, singing songs or lending a helping hand to your hospitality colleagues. No two days will ever be the same.
Are you a PGL person?
You’ll need your ‘RYA Dingy Instructor’ qualification. Apart from that, no experience needed, your character is what we value most. PGL people are:
*Passionate about adventure and the great outdoors
*Friendly people who flourish in team environments
*Determined and resilient (peak periods are challenging)
Above all, it’s our core values of FUN, SAFETY, QUALITY, INCLUSIVITY, TEAMWORK and RESPECT that unite us.
