A Typical Day in the Job
Our Activity Instructors are at the core of our centres, providing effective leadership and instruction to a variety of groups in fun and exciting sessions! These sessions provide a hands-on experience, organised and delivered by our instructors in a range of activities; from canoeing and kayaking to rock climbing and zip wire!
Not only will you be leading exciting and adventure-filled sessions, but we also offer our instructors an opportunity to develop their own skills and knowledge by providing an extensive training programme, giving you the opportunity to complete industry-recognised qualifications!
Our instructors are passionate, both about the outdoor sector and working for Girlguiding. They represent the public face of Girlguiding, ensuring that all activities are conducted in a manner which promotes and enhances the organisation’s safeguarding policies, images and reputation, ultimately ensuring that participants have a safe and enjoyable experience with us so that they want to visit again.

Who are we looking for?
Desirably, the candidate will have two NGB qualifications or a recognised equivalent - NGB qualifications including but not limited to British Canoeing UKCC level 1, paddlesport leader/ Instructor, Mountain Training CWA/CWI or above, Archery GB, British Fencing. Also, it is desirable to have a first aid qualification and/or current National Pool lifeguard qualification.
For insurance purposes, applicants must be a minimum of 18 years old.
