|Watersports Watersports Course|
|From May to September|
From the candidate's point of view, at OutdoorJAC we know what it takes to work in the outdoor adventure so we can offer great advice that will put you ahead of the competition. We work hard every day to find out first about new job vacancies and updated training courses so that we can keep you informed about what is available when considering the next stage of your career.
For the employers, we help you build an affordable, high-quality campaign that will find and appeal to your target audience. While we are not a recruitment agency, we don't sit back and let the website do all the work. We actively seek out great candidates and recommend they get in touch with you to find out more about your vacancies.
A Typical Day on this Course
During the first two weeks, you follow the PADI modular programme from Open Water to Rescue Diver.
This is an intensive training period and, although it takes place in a holiday resort, this is not a holiday. You will work hard to achieve the qualifications.
At the same time, you are being assessed as a potential staff member. To enter the second part of the programme you must have qualified as a Rescue Diver and demonstrated a professional attitude to your work.
Starting in the third week you take part in supervised work experience, helping with all aspects of running the dive shop and school. At the same time, you are taught the skills required to qualify as a PADI Divemaster.
The cost is kept to a minimum because you are expected to work in exchange for your equipment and Divemaster training. Of course, this is a good experience in itself and valuable addition to your CV or resume.
Who are we looking for?
No previous experience is needed as this course is designed for beginners.
You should provide your own 5/4 mm wetsuit, mask, snorkel and fins. A summer shortie is useful. All available at discount prices in Vassiliki!
You must complete the PADI Medical Statement, available as a download on this page, to check whether you are medically fit to dive. Your Statement must be countersigned by a medical doctor or physician before you can be certified as a Divemaster.
