Essex Outdoors is a leading outdoor education provider and is part of Essex County Council. We have four centres all offering a different experience for its staff and customers including free residential opportunities for seasonal staff at some of our centres.
A Typical Day in the Job
Our instructors have a real passion for the great outdoors and for offering high quality customer service to a range of customers varying from year six school children through to children and adults with special needs and adults on qualification courses.
As a Seasonal Instructor you will be delivering a range of outdoor activities to these customers, from Problem Solving and Archery through to Sailing, Paddlesport and Climbing, there is plenty to keep you entertained. The activities will depend on the centre where you are based and the training programmes arranged for that year but we aim to train our seasonal instructors in as many different activities as possible, a bonus for us as you can work on multiple activities but a bonus for you as you get a much broader level of experience.
However, please remember that you don’t need any previous experience; we are looking for fun people that love working with children and in the outdoors
Who are we looking for?
You will be required to attend a selection day (dates advise upon application) and to be available for Core Training on 8th and 9th April 2019
If you are unable to make any of these then please mention this in your application or email firstname.lastname@example.org to see if we can work around it. You will need to be age 18 or over by 1st May 2019.
What we can offer you
Including a residential option at some of our centres, Essex Outdoors offers a competitive salary of £7.90ph, and access to fantastic training and the opportunity to obtain industry based qualifications.
