A Typical Day in the Job
Using knowledge from your degree in Geology, Geography, Biology, Science, or other relevant discipline, you will use the activity centre and the surrounding locations to deliver field studies sessions.
This role is ideal for anyone considering a future in teaching or even current uni students looking for a suitable work placement for your year in industry. The scope for personal development is almost limitless as you'll learn and lead sessions for all ages of school group in subjects ranging from geology and urban geography to alternative technologies.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for people holding a relevant degree, or with experience of teaching Field Studies in a similar environment, with basic IT skills and the proven ability to work as a member of a fast-paced team. If, in addition to the above, you'll have a particular interest or experience in teaching Science, Maths or ICT we would especially like to hear from you. You will ideally also be able to demonstrate experience of working or volunteering with children/young people. We look for applications from people who can demonstrate energy and enthusiasm for education within a range of subject matter and who have the ability to relate to young people and make learning fun.
