Kitchen Porter: a typical day
- Cleaning and sanitising kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas
- Washing all dishes, pots, pans and other kitchenware to a high standard
- Assisting with and putting away food deliveries in an organised manner
- Adhering to all health and safety and food hygiene regulations at all times
- Occasional assistance with food preparation under supervision may be required
Please note: this position may involve standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy objects. Training will be provided for specific tasks and responsibilities
what makes you the ideal candidate
- Previous experience working in a culinary or food service environment is preferred but not required
- Ability to handle and prepare food safely and hygienically; training will be provided if you do not hold the current necessary food hygiene certification
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
