A Typical Day In The Job...

Reporting into the Activities Manager, you will be at the forefront of imparting the Fit For Sport values and ethos of a healthy, active lifestyle through leading fun and engaging multi sports and activities sessions across our Primary School Term Time provisions, and at our school holiday Activity Camps.

Your primary aim is engagement and participation, whilst making sure you are keeping a close eye on your surroundings to ensure the health and safety of everyone on site, children and staff alike. There may be times when you will have to feedback to parents, so you will always need to present yourself in a professional manner.

Day to Day tasks include but are not limited to the following:

- Plan and deliver a wide range of multi-sport, multi-ability activities; both individually and with your team

- Complete H & S documentation (Accident Forms, Incident Forms, etc.) where required

- Liaising and providing feedback with/to site staff (school/leisure centre staff) and parents daily

- Working closely with the rest of your site team to ensure all safeguarding and health and safety standards are kept up and met.

Who are we looking for?

what makes you the ideal candidate

You will be an outgoing, enthusiastic and inspirational character, with a background in Sports Coaching, Physical Education or Childcare. You will be a confident communicator, with the ability to vary your communication style effectively dependant on the audience you are addressing. Experience delivering a range of sports/multi-activity sessions is desirable, but by no means essential.

Qualifications and Experience:
Although not essential, it is highly desirable that you possess one or more of the following:
- A minimum Level 1 Sports Coaching qualification from a recognised NGB (National Governing Body)
- NVQ Level 2 OR 3 BTEC Early Years Educator
- NVQ Level 2 OR 3 BTEC Children and Young People
- NVQ Level 2 OR 3 BTEC Playwork
- Relevant Degree or Higher Education Certificate
- Relevant Physical Education & School Sports Certification
- A minimum of 1 Year Experience working in a Sports Coaching or Childcare setting
