Bray Lake Watersports is a long standing water sports centre priding ourselves on high quality teaching alongside a club atmosphere with regular members and club sessions.

We have an onsite retail shop and cafe with great coffee.

We aim to move with the trends in the watersports industry adding new activities and courses to our offering.

In 2018 we were voted the top SUP Club in the country and we are also the home of the British SUP Club Championship.

Paddle Sports Instructor

typical day A Typical Day in the Job

You will work as part of an experienced team, working together to complete centre set up / pack down, storing equipment and preparing materials for courses and demo's. You will ensure all equipment is safe and fit for purpose.

You will be instructing our junior and adult courses with the ability to maintain a fun environment whilst delivering a structured course and continuously assessing risk.

You will also assist with general centre duties as requested including centre opening, greeting customers and liasing with regulars and members to ensure a club environment is maintained.

You will support the centre manager with any centre clean down, equipment maintenance, in addition to lake, building and ground maintenance work as required.

ideal candidate Who are we looking for?

Applicants must be over the age of 17 years.
Strong communication skills are essential, the applicant must be able to converse fluently with the centre team and their students.
You must hold at least one of the following, having additional instructor qualifications would be beneficial.

BC Instructor Qualification
BSUPA Level 1

You must also have a valid First Aid Qualification and Safeguarding certificate. We can provide training for these pre-requisites which you can discuss with a member of our team.

A Flexible approach to working hours - willingness to work overtime is a bonus.

Due to the nature of the working environment and the inevitable contact with children, this role is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check. Applicants for this role must be eligible to work in the UK.
