UKSA offer the very best professional maritime training courses alongside youth development programmes to transform young people’s lives. We don't just offer certification and training, as a youth charity we can offer that bit extra and make sure we really look after our young people. Our professional careers students benefit from 1:1 mentoring, access to our careers network, realistic careers advice and help with CVs. We help over 10,000 people a year to achieve their personal best. We have a fantastic fleet, a waterfront campus, inspirational instructors and great facilities.
A Typical Day on this Course
This course best suits those who love working outdoors and want to propel themselves from a hobby or passion into a career. You will train as a multi-disciplined watersports instructor in four sought after watersports qualifications (dinghy sailing, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding and windsurfing), giving you ultimate employability.
You will live and eat on-site and enjoy the camaraderie that comes with the campus lifestyle. It also means you get plenty of time to learn, and be out on the water. As we are based on an island we can travel daily to wherever the water conditions are best!
Who are we looking for?
You are required to have at least a minimum of one week’s recent dinghy and windsurfing experience. Anyone without this level of experience will be required to complete the two-week Kickstart course first.
What we can offer you
UKSA’s Watersports Instructor Training (UK) course is all-inclusive with no hidden extras. Course fees include all training, food and accommodation, examinations, certification, logbooks and internet access for the full duration of the course.
Our careers students benefit from 1:1 mentoring, access to our careers network, realistic careers advice and help with CVs. While on site you can take advantage of our indoor heated swimming pool, bar and study areas.
