Our signature is being on the beautiful beach on a coastal location that is designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Exmouth camp is in lovely grounds not far from the beach. Exmouth beach is a mile of golden sand and Orcombe point where we teach is very safe and the children really enjoy the beach.

The estuary centre has very flat and shallow water, this is a great destination to learn new skills, we choose what is best for each school after chatting with the teachers.

The land activities all happen on site and we have lots of team games available on site for any down time while the children are relaxing at camp.

The children will experience new activities in a safe fun environment with our fully qualified instructors.

The job description

Watersports instructors and trainee instructors: a typical day

There is no typical day. Up early teaching on the water or on the land. setting the beach or estuary up or preparing the archery tag. Later in the summer preparing for junior club or adult courses. Getting involved and out on the water on the same craft as the students, our director does not like powerboat based teaching. Get on the water and teach by demo and feel the conditions relevant to the students.

Sometimes it is a early start but early finish, time to get on the water for some personal watersports time. We are great believers that if you are enjoying the sports you will make the most enthusiastic instructor and therefore will be the best coach.

Who are we looking for?

what makes you the ideal candidate

We are a training centre so enthusiasm is the most relevant and some experience in the sports.
You should already enjoy watersports with some level of competence.

Pre qualified windsurf instructors, BCU paddle board and Kayak are very welcome.

Those without qualifications will start as a trainee and assist the instructors until we can work together to help you gain your qualifications so that you can take your own group under the watchful eyes of our senior instructors and centre manager.

DBS certificates are essential, we can enrol you onto the scheme.
