The job description
Lead Watersports Instructor: a typical day
Key Responsibilities:
Greet guests with a big smile, making them feel right at home and ready for adventure
Lead and coach participants through thrilling watersport activities, making sure everyone is safe and happy
Ensure every activity is a fun and secure experience for all, with a focus on safety
Run awesome courses that follow RYA standards, delivering fun and safe learning experiences
Regularly check and maintain all watersports gear to keep things running smoothly
Assist the Chief Instructor with a range of activities like sailing, paddle sports, dragon boating, and raft building, bringing excitement to the water
Run a variety of events, from big corporate team-building challenges to kids’ clubs and summer camp activity days
Step up and take the reins of the Watersports team when the Chief Instructor is away, keeping the fun flowing and everything running smoothly
Provide top-tier customer care, ensuring every guest has a fantastic time and leaves with a smile.
Who are we looking for?
what makes you the ideal candidate
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications, attitude, behaviours, skills, and values:
Senior Dhingy or Kayak instructor qualification is essential
RYA Powerboat Level 2 or Higher
Dragon Boat Helm is preferable
First Aid Certificate
DBS check will be required and arranged by the company
Excellent customer service skills
Team player with a can-do attitude and excellent communication and leadership skills
Experience in working with children and young people
Ready to take initiative and lead
